Contemporary frontline golf villa within the Herdade de Aroeira, a private 350-hectare estate of protected pine forest on the south coast of Lisbon. Designed by the studio Pedro Domingos Arquitetos, the architecture draws on Mediterranean tradition and sits naturally on the topography of the land, between the greens of two PGA golf courses.
What sets this villa apart is the way it disappears into the landscape.
A house designed so that the green of the golf course, the pine forest and the Atlantic light set the rhythm of the days. Here the design doesn’t seek the spotlight: it accompanies. It is a place to wake up facing the greens, head out to play without taking the car and return home unhurried, half an hour from Lisbon and a world away.
